Mgr, HR Genlst | Hamilton Sundstrand | York, NE

Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining. Human Resources Generalist responsible for approximately 250 management represented employees in the York, NE manufacturing plant site. Major responsibilities include:

Employee Relations:
  • Coach & educate managers, supervisors & employees on company policies, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, interpersonal communications & effective group interactions.
  • Investigate & provide guidance regarding employee complaints, including misconduct, harassment and discrimination.
  • Ensure employment practices comply with applicable federal, state & local employment/labor laws.
  • Union avoidance activities.

Talent Development & Sourcing:
  • Support the sourcing & retention of talent to help the plant meet short- and long-term business needs.
  • Design & develop learning solutions to support the business needs.
  • Drive implementation of effective performance mgmt processes including feedback/coaching & career mgmt.
  • Leadership development and succession planning activities.

Total Rewards:
  • Design & administer compensation philosophies, strategies and methods to meet business needs.

Business Knowledge:
  • Understand how HR impacts the business and develop & implement HR strategies to support business objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations or related discipline; Masters degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, including at least
  • 2-3 years of supervisory/management experience. Excellent verbal & written communication, project management and coaching skills.
